CREATE … sneak peek | spring easter skirt with vintage lace

Easter is fast approaching and the past two years I have made Easter dresses for Emma. I don’t sew that often so I seek out super simple patterns to learn from such as this Lazy Days Skirt from Oliver + S that I have made before.  I decided to use some of the vintage lace from a collection passed down from my mom, great aunts, and cousins. I have the pattern cut out, which is essentially a rectangle, and the lace is sewn in place with each strip overlapping the other to hide the thread. Now it’s time to put it all together. I’ll update with more images when it’s complete. The only problem is that the boys are now requesting that I make them clothes?? Dresses and skirts for girls are so much simpler than pants and shirts for boys. Sooo, feeling a little guilty that I have never made them ANY clothes, maybe it’s time to tackle making pants with this seemingly simple pajama pant pattern. We’ll see how it goes.

Do you have any super simple patterns for kids clothes? Please share.

I’m such a beginner, but trying to learn more. My mom made my wedding dress, so that tells you how well she can sew! Hope you can find a great dress!
