I love the holiday season, but not all of the consumerism that goes along with it. Instead of all of the new gifts, maybe consider collecting materials for one of the ideas below. A kit with all of the pieces included for a project would be a great surprise for a child that enjoys weaving and sewing. My boys are OBSESSED with the rainbow loom right now so I plan to add a few of the ideas below into the creative rotation. So many ideas are floating around, so just find something your child has an interest in and then look for items you can recycle into a gift. Just look around your home and you might be surprised how many supplies could spark creativity in a child.

Easter is the perfect time to incorporate some family crafting time. Some of these projects would be great to create together. Buy materials and place them in an easter basket with an image of the craft and enjoy making together with your child.
